All makeup artists will tell you: makeup primers are a MUST! It’s simple: makeup look better and lasts longer! There are a lot of makeup primers on the market. I have tried several of them and here are my favorites.

Name: MAKE-UP FOREVER HD Microperfecting Primer
Details: This lightweight, oil-free correcting primer deeply nourishes, moisturizes, and softens the skin, creating a glowing effect. Available in 7 shades (6 colors and 1 transparent), it can improve skin appearance by enhancing the skin’s texture and correcting color imperfections.
Why I like it: It doesn’t create a thick layer like usual makeup primers. It blends easily into the skin and allows the foundation to stay longer (I saw the difference!).

Name: Cover Fx Anti-Aging Primer
Details: This foundation primer is also an antiaging serum. It preps the skin prior to foundation application, facilitates blending and extends wear, it also hydrates and smoothes skin to blur appearance of wrinkles and pores.
Why I like it: I like the fact that you can use it as a 2 in 1 (it can replace makeup base AND moisturizer). The texture is more like a serum than a makeup base, so it’s a great feature. The makeup is more uniform and the skin is soft as silk.

Name: Hourglass Veil – Mineral Primer
Details: This primer is mineral-based, water-resistant and has a SPF 15. It neutralizes the skin, minimizes shine and creates a smooth finish for flawless makeup application. It absorbs excess oils and minimizes the appearance of pores.
Why I like it: The texture is amazing. It glides evenly on the skin and creates a perfect canvas for foundation. Skin looks flawless.
