Here is the step-by-step virtual makeover for Doris (created with Photoshop on the same picture).
Doris asked me for an every day look at work. I decided to choose warm colors that fit perfectly with her complexion.
Before
Step 1: Foundation
I suggest a medium coverage foundation with light reflecting, smoothing and anti-wrinkles properties.
Step 2: Concealer
Same thing for the concealer: light reflecting and anti-wrinkle would be a plus-value. To be applied on dark circles and redness.
Step 3: Bronzing powder
Doris has a fair complexion. To give a healthy look, a bronzing powder is always a good option.
Step 4: Eyeshadow
Ivory eyeshadow on the browbone and the inner corner of the eye = illuminating effect.
Peach-coppery eyeshadow on the eyelid to enhance her khaki eyes.
Doris has hooded upper eyelids. They conceal a part of the eyelid. To correct this, I suggest to apply brown eyeshadow a little bit in the crease and outer corner of the eye, but also on the outer part of the upper lid. To see the complete technique, please click on this link.
Step 5: Eye pencil
A brown eye pencil near the upper and lower lash line will structure the eye. I suggest to smudge the pencil line with a sponge or a brush to give a more natural look.
Step 6: Mascara
One or two coats of a definition and lengthening brown or black mascara will complete the eye look.
Step 7: Blush
I chose a peach-copper blush in order to fit with the warm look of the eyes.
Step 8: Lipstick
The first step would be to apply a lip contour about 2 millimeters outside the natural lip line to correct her thin lips. Second step would be to apply lipstick with a lip brush inside the lip contour. I chose a coral shade to give a radiant and colorful look to the look.
